Currently, Kolby is adding a woman’s touch at her family business, the Bleacherguys. Being the only woman employee, she is making this masculine office her own. She juggles a variety of responsibilities at the business, whether it be updating social media, networking with potential clients, designing new literature, creating advertising campaigns all while completing the roles of human resources, accounts receivable and accounts payable; the list goes on! A woman's work is never done! In September 2015, Kolby became a mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region.  For the duration of the 2015/2016 school year Kolby helped struggling youth in the Waterloo Region District School Board.  In September 2016, Kolby was hired by Conestoga College to teach Media Planning and Event Planning in the School of Media and Design.

Kolby is a holiday heartthrob and a party planner enthusiast. She is forever throwing celebrations for her friends and family and decorating her home for the season. The minute Halloween ends, her Christmas tree is up and the stockings are hung. She gets great satisfaction from people appreciating her attention to detail.  When Kolby isn’t making her daily “to-do list,” you can find her browsing Pinterest for tomorrow’s next project, shopping, lending a hand or spending quality time with her goldendoodle Peyton.  In May 2014, Kolby got married to her husband Ethan at The Hacienda in Kitchener, ON. Her wedding day was straight out of a magazine. It was noted that she did not skip a single detail. Perhaps wedding planning is her new calling?

Kolby is inspired with the idea of changing peoples lives through marketing and promotions. She values the importance of community and volunteering. She is a philanthropist at heart and with her creative education she is committed to making the 100 Women Who Care Waterloo Region three-hundred women strong.
Ask Kolby what she is doing in the next ten days, three months, one year: she knows! Her life is planned and organized to a tee. Living this structured lifestyle, she is driven to accomplish her goals and she has a passion to succeed. Kolby is a very detail orientated person and always strives for 110%.  Kolby received two diplomas in Advertising and Design & Communications. Graduating with honours in 2011, she was able to work under pressure and manage her time efficiently to complete all projects on time while maintaining a 3.85 GPA (90.8%). Kolby fell in love with the idea of sales and promotions. Given her love for radio and creative education, she landed her dream co-op position at CHYM FM working aside Adele Newton back in Spring 2011.  Upon graduating, Kolby took on a sales representative position at Tocara, a direct selling jewelry company located outside of Montreal, Quebec. Growing up she watched her mother excel in the direct sales industry (PartyLite) and Kolby wanted to pursue the same type success. Years ago, at the age of ten, Kolby attended a PartyLite Conference in Ottawa with her mother, where Kolby spoke in front of thousands of women. She says this was the day she realized she could talk to anyone, it didn’t matter who they were or how many people were listening.
